Local women are invited to attend a three-day conference at Harvest Christian Center that focuses on empowering and encouraging women from a biblical approach.

In its second year, the Lift conference will feature two guest speakers who have years of experience inspiring women all over the world. Harvest Christian Center Associate Pastor Jennifer Eivaz will also offer support for local women who are seeking motivation.

“The whole conference is based on empowering women,” said Elena Ayala, assistant to Pastor Eivaz. “It’s a good place for women to come who need encouragement and to get refreshed.”

Verna Brown, the senior pastor at Soul Harvest Worship Center in Modesto, will speak at the conference as she has been devoted to evangelism since 1999. As a graduate of the World Harvest Bible College, Brown and her husband Rick worked together to plant the Soul Harvest Worship Center in 2007. According to her biography, Brown shares a powerful testimony of growing up as a preacher’s kid who became a prodigal’s daughter. After years of addiction, Brown has dedicated herself to sharing the message of redemption through faith.

In addition to Brown, Pastor Denise Goulet of the International Church of Las Vegas will offer words of encouragement to women at the conference, sharing principles to help change their lives spiritually. Goulet and her husband Paul are the lead pastors of the International Church of Las Vegas and together share decades of experience in ministry. Having traveled all over the world, Goulet has taught at hundreds of churches and connected with thousands of women while offering a message of inspiration.

Aside from the three powerful speakers, each session of the conference will offer a worship service and childcare for infants to kindergartners. The conference is free and open to the public with no pre-registration necessary.

The Lift Conference for Women will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Oct. 16-18 at the Harvest Christian Center downtown campus, located at 130 Third St.  in Turlock.
