Over 20 Turlock citizens stood outside the doors of Trader Joe’s in Modesto on Saturday to kick off their campaign to bring the grocery store to Turlock. Their goal is to have about 20 people request that a Trader Joe’s come to Turlock every day until it actually happens. Supporters wore their favorite Hawaiian shirt and had a variety of colorful leis for Saturday’s rally. Turlock Mayor John Lazar and City Council member Mary Jackson were present.
