Every month, men of all ages from around the community gather at Monte Vista Chapel for the Sharpen Breakfast — a gathering held on the first Saturday each month to help bring men together to discuss their faith while enjoying a hearty breakfast and coffee.

“It is a chance for men of all ages to gather, to share a meal and to enter into conversations regarding their faith in God and how that intersects in their day to day life,” said Jon Hamilton, pastor of the men’s ministry at MVC.

The breakfast also brings in a different speaker each month, helping create conversations between the groups of men about issues affecting their own lives.

“The speakers vary from month to month, but the most vital part of the morning is the chance to discuss life issues that apply to men and their faith,” said Hamilton. “Those conversations that we begin and continue are instrumental as we grow in our walk with God.”

The monthly breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Activity Center at Monte Vista Chapel, located at 1619 E. Monte Vista Avenue.

Tickets are $5 each or two tickets for $3.
