United States Passport books will become more expensive on Tuesday, increasing in cost by $35.
Following the change, applicants 16 and older will be required to pay $110 for a book or $30 for a card, valid only for land or sea crossings to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda. Those younger than 16 will pay $80 for a book, or $15 for a card.
An additional $25 execution fee, payable to the Stanislaus County Clerk Recorder, is required to process the application.
