Caltrans has construction and closures planned for the following areas this week:
• The northbound and southbound on and off-ramps on Highway 99 from Taylor Road to Hammett Road will alternately close from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. through Saturday.
• The center and right lanes and right shoulder on northbound and southbound Highway 99 from Taylor Road to the Stanislaus/San Joaquin County line will close from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. through Saturday.
• The right lane on northbound Highway 99 between Whitmore Avenue and Hatch Road will be closed from 9 a.m. Thursday to 2 p.m. Friday.
Motorists should expect 15 to 30 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

A recurring theme at the opening night of the 2025 Stanislaus County Fair in Turlock — the 107th edition of the annual event — was the heat. Sure, it's not 108 degrees like last year, but 102 on Friday afternoon wasn't too far off.
