SPREADING WARMTH THIS SEASON
Coats for Kids
Westside Ministries director JoLynn DiGrazia holds one of the toys donated to the organization's annual coat and toy drive. She is joined by kids from the ministry's after-school program showing off a few of the coats already donated (NICHOLAS CORTEZ/The Journal).

Christmas came early to Westside Ministries, as members of the Kiwanis of Greater Turlock delivered 60 jackets and 25 toys to the organization on Monday evening, which has become an annual tradition. The Kiwanis donation is part of the ministry’s annual Coats for Kids drive. This year, Westside Ministries is collecting new coats, toys and warm outfits for local kids in need. Used coats can be dropped off at Carr’s Cleaners, 500 E. Main St., to be cleaned and then used for the drive. Donations can be dropped off directly to Westside Ministries from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday through Dec. 17. Westside Ministries is located at 950 Columbia Ave., Turlock.
