The owners of Lightly Used Books in downtown Turlock had an unwelcome surprise Tuesday morning when a car came crashing into their storefront.

The accident was first reported by Turlock Fire personnel who saw the damage as they drove down Center Street around 10 a.m. Tuesday. The fire department stopped to assist the parties involved and notified the police department.

Only minor injuries were reported from the accident.

The storefront did sustain quite a bit of damage and had repairs underway Tuesday afternoon.
