Valentines Day at the library
valentine 2
Joshua Westfall, library volunteer Roykrong Arruk and Jennifer Perry make a sweet bunch of rosebud valentines.

Valentine’s Day marks that time of the year when students place baggies on their desks in hopes of receiving valentines from their classmates, but it is also a great time to spread the love which is what the Friends of the Turlock Public Library organization have done. This is the second year that the organization has sponsored a Valentine’s Craft Day at the local library providing students from all across town a central place to meet and create together. Aptly timed before Valentine’s Day, kids were afforded the opportunity to make “sweet” valentines by using Hershey’s kisses to form the shape of a rose bud and attach them to sticks and to color Valentine’s themed drawings. Children of all ages came to the event, and whether they made one rose or a bouquet, each one went home with a big smile on their face.
