Vigil for families

The District Attorney’s Office Victim Services Program is hosting the 16th Annual Homicide Victims’ Candlelight Vigil and Memorial Tree Lighting at 6 p.m. Thursday. The ceremony will be held on the courthouse lawn located at 1100 I St., in Modesto.

The program will include guest speaker Alan Morris with special music by Hannah and Benjamin Glenn.

Friends and family of homicide victims are invited to attend and bring a non-breakable ornament to hang on the tree in remembrance of their loved ones who perished as a result of the criminal acts of others.

In case of rain, the program will be moved to the parking garage at 832 12th St. For more information, contact the Victim Services Program at 525-5541.
