The Carnegie Arts Center presents the next concert in its Jazz Music Series, an evening of music with the Joe Mazzaferro Quintet.

The show will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Carnegie Arts Center.

Stan State faculty member Joe Mazzaferro leads a quintet celebrating the music of legendary alto saxophonist Cannonball Adderley. One of most prominent figures in jazz, Adderley gained fame as a sideman on Miles Davis masterpiece “Kind of Blue” and went on to lead his own quintet, which played a prominent role in developing soul jazz that incorporated elements of blues, gospel, soul, and rhythm and blues.

Tickets are $10 general admission and $5 for Carnegie members and students. Tickets will be available at the door.
