Adrian Alfaro passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, due to complications resulting from Zellweger’s Syndrome, a peroxisomal disorder. He was two weeks shy of his third birthday. Adrian was a living angel here on earth and touched the lives of many in his short life. Although Adrian never spoke a word, or was able to walk, his smile and loving eyes changed the heart of everyone he met. Adrian has left us wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.
Adrian is survived by his parents, Jose “Chuy” Alfaro and Carolina Alfaro; and big brother, Jose “Chuyito” Alfaro. He is also survived by the Alfaro Family of Tracy and the Gutierrez Family of Planada.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Diego Alfaro, who also had the same disorder.
A viewing and celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 9 at Turlock Funeral Home, with viewing beginning at 12 noon. Catholic Mass and burial service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, Jan. 10, also at Turlock Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Adrian’s honor to the Global Foundation for Peroxisomal Disorders, 5147 S. Harvard, Suite 181, Tulsa, OK 74135 or online: www.thegfpd.org
