Albert "Abe" Abraham, 88, of Modesto died peacefully Sunday, August 5, 2012 surrounded by his family. Albert was born July 28, 1924 in Chicago, IL, grew up in Gary, Indiana, and has lived in the Modesto area for over 65 years.
Albert was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and worked 40 years as a psychiatric technician at Modesto and Stockton State Hospitals. He enjoyed working in the yard, reading the newspaper and walking his dog, Buddy.
He fought a hard battle to overcome his illness, however, it is now his time to enjoy the eternal rest he so deserves.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Darlene Abraham; his three daughters, Tammy Dolman (Brock), Patricia McDonald (Jon), and Kimberly Brown (Jeff); and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by brother, Pirus Abraham; and sisters, Anne Matson and Lillian Gordon.
Visitation will be held at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 North Soderquist, on Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 10 a.m.to 3 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at Turlock Funeral Home on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 10 a.m.
