Alice Giustina Dahlstrom was born January 4, 1921 in Eugene, Oregon. She was the third daughter of Italian immigrants, George and Mazie Giustina. She attended the University of Oregon but left short of graduation as she married her first husband, Major Thomas H. Taylor. Sadly, Alice was widowed at the young age of 22. She soon moved to San Francisco where she worked for Pan American Airways and met her husband Pershing Dahlstrom. They married on May 5, 1945 and moved to Persh’s home town of Turlock in 1952. Together, they owned and operated Starr’s Auto Parts for over 40 years. Of her many hobbies, she most enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing bridge and socializing with friends.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband Tom Taylor; parents, George and Mazie Giustina; sisters, Madalena Fox and Dorothea Kincaid; and her husband of 72 years, Pershing Dahlstrom. She is survived by her 2 children, Carolyn (Scott) Linn; son, Gary Dahlstrom; 3 grandchildren, Scot (Kendra) Dahlstrom; Mark (Cori) Dahlstrom; Karin (Jason) Plett; and 8 great-grandchildren.

May she rest in heavenly peace.
