Anidan Amirkhas, of Turlock, passed away at his home on Sunday. He was 70 years old. He was born in Iran to Havel and Hemalia Amirkhas in 1939. Anidan was raised in Iran and in the early ‘70s moved to the United States.
Anidan Obtained a B.S. degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Chicago and a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. In 1978, Anidan married Marlene Abdollahkandy and they moved to Turlock in 1984. Anidan had a passion for education. He also enjoyed playing soccer, the arts and the outdoors.
Anidan is survived by his wife, Marlene Amirkhas; children, Iblra and Elton Amirkhas; granddaughter, Iyanah Borja; and siblings, Elton Amirkhas of Melbourne, Australia, Shamiran Fabian of Dorchester, Mass. and Remsena Amirkhas of Fort Worth, Texas.
Anidan was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ninev Amirkhas.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23 at the St. John’s Assyrian Presbyterian Church, with burial following at Turlock Memorial Park.
