Arthur Cloyd Hardin died peacefully April 18, 2015, age 76, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. Art was born August 17, 1938 in Newman, CA. He graduated from Turlock High School and San Jose State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Art was a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve, a member of the Oddfellows and served as a volunteer firefighter. He was married to Lynnette Phippen in Ripon in 1967 and became a farmer of almonds and grapes in Merced County. Art was an avid golfer and square dancer. He was preceded in death by his parents John Sim and Marjorie Hardin, and is survived by his brother John, his sisters Janet and Linda, his children Matt Hardin (Judy) & Jill Hardin-Pope (Shayne) and five grandchildren: Holly and Tice Hardin, Graelyn, Connor and Aiden Pope.
