Barrett McFadon, 80, of Modesto passed away on Sept. 10, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. He was born in Evanston, Ill. to Barrett and Rose McFadon in 1928. He spent 23 years teaching at Campbell Union School District in Campbell, Calif. He lived most of his life in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to Modesto in 2004. He loved music, especially the piano and guitar.  
Barrett is survived by his wife, Evelyn of Modesto; sons, Alan and his wife, Cathy, McFadon of Hughson and Duane and his wife, Roxann, McFadon of Bastrop, Texas; three grandchildren; and one sister.
