Betty E. McBee, 81, of San Jose, passed away on Aug. 8. She was born in 1929 in Knoxville, Ariz. She was a nurse for 15 years. Betty was a member of Central General Baptist Church of Modesto and she lived in Ceres from 2000 to 2004 before she moved with her daughter to San Jose. She lived in Santa Clara for more than 40 years.

She is survived by her son, Philip McBee of Modesto; daughter, Robin Frederickson of San Jose; brother, James Morris of Union City; six grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce B. McBee.

A private service and burial will be held.
