Betty L. Blume, 83, of Waldron passed from this life on Monday, Jan. 17 in a Waldron hospital. 
 Betty was born June 8, 1928 in Waltreak, Ark. to the late Martin and Ida Horn of Waldron. Betty was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God. 
After retirement, she moved home to Waldron. Betty was a caring and loving person who always looked for the good in everyone regardless of their position in life. 
 Betty is survived by her son, Michael Blume of Waldron; grandsons, Jeremy Blume of Lakeside, Ariz. and Tyie Blume of Hinesville, Ga.; brother, Wayne Horn (Ethel) of Waldron; sister, Virginia Sizemore of Conway; and a host of nieces and nephews. 
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Mel Blume; brother, Ule Horn; and sisters, Bevie Watson and Vicky Owens Atchinson. 
 Of local note, Aunt Betty worked for several years at Johnson’s Flower Shop on Broadway and loved to fish the local rivers.
 There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 12 at Turlock Memorial Park.
