Betty Lee Varian passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Betty was born to Paul and Margaret Erickson Nov. 11, 1925 in Modesto, California. She graduated from Hughson High School and attended college. She worked as a bookkeeper, however her proudest accomplishment was her role as mother, grandmother and homemaker. Betty enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, baking and creating beautiful treasures with arts and crafts.

She is survived by her children, Karen Tavares, Charles Varain and Randy Varain, sister, Paula Caruthers and brother, Tim Erickson. 

Nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 6th from 5-7pm at Allen Mortuary. Graveside service will be held Friday, Oct. 7th at 11am at Citizens Cemetery of La Grange in La Grange, CA.
