Carmen Johnson
c26465 1

Carmen Johnson was born in Turlock at Emanuel Hospital on December 12, 1926 to Carl & Edith Johnson. She passed away at the age of 88 at Paramount Court with her loving husband of nearly 70 years by her side.

Carmen was a lifelong resident of Turlock and married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) at Turlock Covenant Church (Beulah) in February of 1946. Her only child, Camille Adams and husband Doug, live in Turlock. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Heather Green and husband Danny, of Turlock, and Dr. Hillary Greer and husband Michael, of Ohio. Her three precious grandsons are Hilton, Houston, and Heston Green.

Touring the United States on their motorcycle was their absolute favorite activity! Trips in the RV were also filled with cherished memories over the years. Cheering on the 49’ers, or just watching any football team, made her so happy. Carmen was an office manager for Dr. Donald Moline for 30 years where she made lasting friendships. She was an active member of the Turlock High School Class of 1944 and enjoyed the monthly class lunches. Carmen was a lifelong member of Turlock Covenant Church and she was always a servant to others. Some of her faithful activities were to write letters of encouragement to missionaries, delivering meals to shut-ins with Meals on Wheels, Emanuel Hospital Auxillary, supporting numerous charities, and other ways of putting others first in her life before her own needs.

A visitation will be held Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  at Turlock Funeral Home Chapel 425 N. Soderquist Rd.  Interment services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations/contributions may be made in Carmen’s memory to Mission Springs Conference Center, 1050 Lockhart Gulch Rd, Scotts Valley, CA 95066 or Turlock Covenant Church’s Mission Fund, 316 S. Laurel Street, Turlock, CA 95380.
