Charles Cox, 58, of San Jose, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at San Jose Regional Medical Center.  He was born in Richmond to Ralph and Betty Cox in 1954. Charles was a very happy and contented person. He lived in care homes for his lifetime as he was developmentally disabled. Though he was never able to speak, his smile, kind expressions and gentle touch will live on in the hearts of his family and friends who knew him.
Charles is survived by his mother, Betty Cox of Turlock; and brothers, Paul Strickland, Mark Cox, Matthew Cox and their families. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Charles Cox. Charles is also survived by Ms. Myrna Brownell, and the staff and friends at the Brownell Care Home in San Jose. The family is very grateful to those who gave such wonderful care to him.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24 at Allen Mortuary. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25 at Turlock Memorial Park.
