Visitation for Devona “Bonnie” Wickstrom, 82, of Turlock, will be held from noon to 7 p.m. July 10 at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd. in Turlock. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. July 11, also at Turlock Funeral Home. Graveside services will be private at Turlock Memorial Park.
Bonnie passed away peacefully at home on July 7. She was born in Toppenish, Wash. to proud parents Carl and Jesse Echternkamp. Following her high school graduation in 1944, the family made their way to California.
Bonnie loved her Lord, family and her volunteer work as a pink lady at Emanuel Hospital and also at Delta Blood Bank. She attended Monte Vista Chapel and belonged to a number of social groups, some that have met for over 50 years. Her family will remember her faith, strength, and love of laughter.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Bullard; husbands, Jack Rowden and Alvin Wickstrom; and daughter, Devona Degnan.
She is survived by her son, Dale (Cindy Myers) Rowden of Visalia; daughter, Carrie (Mike) Sturdivan of Turlock; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
Memorial gifts may be given to Hospice of Emanuel.
