She met and married Tony Silva, where they resided in Newman, CA and then moved to Crows Landing.  She had three children and was a home maker and cook for Manuel Furtado for 20 years.  Evelyn and her husband worked very hard to help build Mt. View PTA and was made an honorary member in 1967. She was also an aide at Chatom Elementary School.

She moved to W. Main St. in Turlock, CA, where she spent the remainder of her life.  Here she loved growing flowers and raising Parakeets and cockatiels.  She met a lot of friends selling her birds.  She was a hard working woman and loving mother and mamaw.

She was preceded in death by: two brothers, Manuel & Eddie Faias; sister Caroline Cunha; husbands Tony Silva, Robert McBride, and Bob Belk; son Ronald Silva; two grandchildren, Craig & Jeffery Silva; and one daughter-in-law Cheri Silva.
