Everette Franklin LaFollette
Sept. 28, 1926 Feb. 2, 2011
LaFollette

Everette Franklin LaFollette graduated from this life to Glory and into the presence of his Savior on Feb. 2 at age 84.
Born in Stillwater, Okla. in 1926, Everette was the fifth child and second son of Tazwell and Osel LaFollette. When he was 16, he moved from Oklahoma to California and started a dairy with his family in Stevinson. He attended Hilmar High school.
In 1945, Everette married Wanda Jones of Stevinson and together they had four children: a daughter and three sons. Later, they moved to  South Blaker Road, west of Turlock, and became partners with his father in a dairy.  In ownership of the dairy, he began harvesting silage for himself and others, and that practice eventually became the custom silage harvesting business now known as LaFollette Enterprises, Inc. Eventually, he retired and turned the business over to his second son and daughter and their spouses.
He was a member of Mitchell Community Church for over 50 years. There he served faithfully in church leadership and demonstrated a dedicated, servant heart. He was never shy about sharing his love of Jesus with everyone he knew. He loved a challenge and dedicated himself to a job well done. He loved spending time at the lake on the houseboat, vacationing in his RV, and most of all, loved spending time with family.

In 1999, Everette was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda, after 54 happy years of marriage. He found happiness in marriage again with Anita Wood Mize, and they were married for almost 11 years. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Everette is survived by his wife, Anita
; siblings, Zola LaFollette Pritchard of Escalon and Garland LaFollette of Morrison, Okla.; children, Steve ( Linda) LaFollette, Marilyn (Bob) Tucker, Randy ( Kathy) LaFollette and Brian (Ronda) LaFollette, all of Turlock; step-daughter, Leanne Inahara of Fresno; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 7 at Turlock Memorial Park and Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held in the same location at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb.8. Remembrances may be made in memory of Everette to Mitchell Community Church, 1507 S.
