Filomena Garcia, 99, of Livingston, died Nov. 19 at Emanuel Medical Center. Services have been held. Burial will be in Mexico.
Filomena was born in July 1910 in Churintzio, Mexico. She was a homemaker for 85 years and a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church of Livingston. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Fernando Garcia of Livingston and Agustin Garcia of Santa Ana, Calif.; daughters, Beatrice Garcia and her husband, Pulido, Carmen Garcia and her husband, Ramirez, Margarita Garcia Herreira, Esther Garcia and Maria Luisa Garcia, all of Mexico, Teresa Garcia Romero of Fairfield, Calif., Ofelia Garcia of Livingston and Maria Elena Garcia Avina of Santa Ana, Calif.; and sister, Dometila Arroyo of Stockton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luis Garcia Fernandez, in 1980; and daughter, Maria de Jesus Garcia Garibay in 1996.
Services are under the direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Service of Turlock.
