George & Polly Morgan
c24204 1

After nearly 77 years of marriage, George and Polly Morgan died peacefully within three weeks of each other; Polly, on March 19 at the age of 96, and George on April 13, at the age of 98.

After meeting in Chariton, Iowa, George and Polly married on May 22, 1938.  George enlisted in the USAF and, before his retirement, was a navigator on the B-52.  George had many hobbies, including photography, bicycling and gospel music.  He also loved camping and water skiing and had many happy times with family and friends at Don Pedro and Bass Lakes.  In addition to her job as a court clerk on Stanislaus and Merced counties, Polly loved caring for her family and home.  She was an excellent cook and baker, as well as a creative seamstress.  Because of George’s Air Force career, the Morgans lived in over 70 different homes throughout the world and made good friends wherever they went.  They left Turlock for Antioch in 2009, and then moved to Oroville in 2012.

George and Polly were wonderful and devoted parents and grandparents.  They leave behind their son and daughter-in-law, David and Cathy Morgan, of Oroville, and their daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren, Carol, Glen and Hannah Skooglund of Turlock, and Anders Skooglund and Chelsey Marderosian of Fresno.

No services are planned.  George and Polly loved helping their family and many friends in any way they could; in lieu of donations, any random acts of kindness in their memory would please them very much.
