Hijinia R. Maldonado, our beautiful and beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, was called home to heaven on August 1st. She was born on January 22, 1928 in Jerez, Zacatecas in Mexico, where she met the only love of her life Jose C. Maldonado in 1946 and then married him on February 5, 1947. Hijinia was loving, kind, warm, hardworking, and loved her family with all of her heart. She and her husband were members of Sacred Heart Church in Turlock.

Hijinia, her husband, and children immigrated into the United States in 1966 where she dedicated the rest of her life to her family, animals, beautiful garden, and to our Lord Jesus Christ. All of those who loved and knew her will miss her beautiful smile, generosity, the simplicity of her heart, and her amazing cooking. She humbly allowed her own life to serve as a reminder that we must strive to holiness by always reminding us to go to church and pray our rosary and live life the way she did with simplicity, humbleness and love.

She is survived by her husband, Jose, of 67 years, her 14 children, Leocadio, Rodrigo, Felipe, Juaquin, Domitilo, Apolinar (Nino), Natalie Sanchez, Antolin, Vicente, Luisa M. Maldonado, Esther Soltero, Audouriel (Buelo) Jose Luis, and Saul Maldonado.

She has 11 beautiful daughters-in-law, two sons in-law, 50 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, countless relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Visitations will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday August 7th with a recitation of the rosary at 6 p.m. at Turlock Funeral Home Chapel, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., in Turlock. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday the 8th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Ave., in Turlock.

May you rest in peace and pray for us from heaven querida Mamá y abuelita
