Irma Katherine Farr (nee King), 87, died Thursday, July 1 in a Gallup, NM rest home. She was born in Dawt, Ozark County, Mo. and moved to California later in life. Mrs. Farr lived in Gustine for 25 years and attended schools in and around Kingsburg. She worked as a secretary to the chief of police and was a dispatcher for the Gustine Police and Fire Departments for 18 years. In 1986, Farr moved with her husband to New Mexico. She loved reading, music, her grandchildren and bird-watching.
She is survived by her husband, Frank of Jamestown, NM; daughter, LaVonne Brunskill of Turlock; sons, John King of San Diego and Peter Pawela of Crownpoint, NM; six grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by step-children and step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen King and Ethel Rogers King.
