Katherine Rushing, 51, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011, with her family by her side in Turlock. She was born in Carmel, California and moved to Turlock at the age of 14. She graduated Turlock High School in 1977. She was employed as a Counseling Tech for 15 years for the John B. Allard School and was awarded the Bell Award. She loved horseback riding, animals, reading, and taking trips with family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Veva (Marvin) Larson of Turlock; step-father, Terry (Jane) Schuetz of Ohio; sisters, Julie (Allen) Baballe of Hilmar, and Sandy (Tim) Cook of Turlock; step-brothers, Myron Larson of Santa Cruz, and Lee (Rhonda) Larson of Roseville; step-sisters, Karen (Raul) Mireles of Turlock, and Jennifer Cromly of Ohio. She also leaves behind nephews, Cole Cozine, Dylan Baballe, and Ryan Cook, step-nephews Dustin Gomes and a niece Karina Cook.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be on Saturday, July 30th at 3:00pm at Allen Mortuary with Pastor Ronald Youngdale officiating.
