Kevin Laton Erickson, 54, of Winton, passed away at Mercy Medical Center. Kevin suffered a stroke on New Year’s Eve, and struggled to recover over the last few weeks, and passed away on Friday.
Kevin was born in Turlock to Gary and Donna Erickson. He was raised in the Turlock area, and graduated from Hilmar High School in 1973. Just a few years later, in April of 1977, he met Pamela Anderson and they married a month later on May 14, in an outdoor wedding at Donnelly Park. Kevin followed in his father’s footsteps, and worked as a pipe fitter in the fire protection industry for 35 years.
Kevin worked hard to provide for his family. He was a kind, loving father and husband. Kevin loved to be outdoors, camping, fishing, at garage sales or walking the aisles at the flea markets. He also greatly enjoyed time with his family, backyard BBQs, and a cold beer. He was a big NASCAR fan.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Pamela Erickson of Winton; mother, Donna Erickson of Winton; children, Kenny Erickson and Tammy Erickson, both of Winton and Patricia Erickson of Merced; and four grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Dee Cowdrey, Jeannie Huntley and Sandy Hodge; and brother, Rick Erickson.
A celebration of life will be held to honor Kevin at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 at Allen Mortuary.
