Lydia “Lily” M. Gallardo, 71, of Turlock went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Lydia was born in February 1939 in Turlock to Lizandro and Francisca Meza. She married Augustine V. Gallardo in 1958. Lydia was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she will be greatly missed by her family members and many friends. Lydia had really strong faith in the Lord that sustained her throughout her life and was an active member of the Apostolic Assembly Church.

She is survived by her children, Ana Baltazar, Lydia Gallardo-Mendoza, Frank Gallardo, Augustine Gallardo, Jr., Elizabeth Gallegos, Mary Ellen Cruz and Gilbert Gallardo; grandchildren, Christina Gonzales, Jessica Baltazar, Frank Gallardo, Jr., Lupe Gallardo, Vanessa Gallardo, Augie Gallardo III, Jacqueline Gallegos, Lexie Valdez, Serena Baltazar, Lily Gallegos, Chelsea Gallardo, Alex Baltazar, Jr., Nicholas Gallardo, Ariana Cruz, Oscar Gallegos, Rayanna Gallardo, Mireya Mendoza, Cane Gallardo, Gracee Gallardo, Miguel Cruz, Nathan Gallegos and Felipe Mendoza; great grandchildren, Lucas Gonzales and Jazlyn Manjarrez; sister, Rebecca Beltran of Bakersfield; and brother, Reverend Raul Meza of Turlock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Augustine V. Gallardo.

 A visitation and service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 28 at Apostolic Assembly Church, 232 Lander Ave., Turlock. A burial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, Jan. 29 at Apostolic Assembly Church, followed by interment at Turlock Memorial Park.
