Margaret Gingrich, 94, of Turlock, passed away at the Covenant Village Care Center on Sunday. She was born in Kansas City, Mo. to Ashley and Margaret Pebbles. Ashley was a minister in the Salvation Army. After her schooling, Margaret spent her working days as a nurse, a teacher of nurses, and the director of the nursing program at Peralta Community College in Oakland. After World War II, Margaret met John Gingrich, a war veteran, in San Francisco. They were married in Oakland in May 1948.
Margaret is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, John; nephew, Scott Sprain and his wife, Ruth; daughter, Leah; and son, Andrew Sprain, all of Loveland, Colo.
