Mary Lillian Jones Beers, 63, of Ceres, passed away Jan. 31 at KU Medical Center in Kansas. Mary moved to California in 1971 and owned Mary Beers Barber shop in Turlock for 15 years. She belonged to the Ceres Missionary Baptist Church. She recently moved back to Kansas to spend time with her parents, Aubrey and Dolly Jones.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa McIntyre of Ceres; sisters, Toni Honeycutt and Ora Lee Phelan, both of Kansas; brothers, John Beers of Texas and Aubrey Jones of Kansas; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild on the way.
A funeral will be held 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at Allen Mortuary with burial to follow at Turlock Memorial Park. Allen Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Please share your memories at www.allenmortuary.com.
