Rita Marie Guinasso Antroll, 93, died of CHF (congestive heart failure) at her home in Modesto on Saint Valentine’s Day, after a long and productive life.  Rita served in the US Navy during WW II while stationed at Bethesda Naval Hospital.  She met and married her spouse in 1949, as they both were completing their military service.

During 67 years of marriage Rita was a devoted homemaker and—true to her Italian heritage-- a great cook.  She loved gardening, sewing, knitting, and traveling.  She also worked at EDD (Employment Development Department) for a period of time and was an enumerator for the decennial U.S. Census.  A devout Catholic, she attended Sacred Heart Church (Turlock) since the 1950’s.

Rita is preceded in death by her parents Anna and Eugene Guinasso; and all her siblings. These include brothers Silvio, John, and Fred; sisters Louise and Anna; as well several siblings that died in childhood.  We expect her late grandson-in-law Norman Rice and her late son-in-law Jean Enero to also welcome her as she receives her well-deserved Heavenly reward.

Rita leaves behind her husband Frederick Anthony Antroll, daughters Marie (Robert) Grimes of San Francisco and Ruth Enero of Modesto; granddaughters Kate (Orion) Livingston and Jean Rice; grandsons Nicholas Enero, David (Nataly) Enero, Alexander Enero, and Richard Enero.  She also leaves behind her great grandchildren Zoe Livingston, Scotty Niles, Anika Niles, Jaslyn Enero, and Ivy Enero.
