Roy Bernell Hirschkorn passed away Dec. 24, 2014 after a long illness. Roy was born July of 1938, in Turlock CA, and was a life-long resident. In his younger years Roy was a member of the Turlock Junior Marching Band and continued to play and enjoy music throughout his life.

Roy was drafted into the military in 1961 and served until 1963. He was a member of Turlock Seventh Day Adventist Church. Roy was owner-operator of Turlock City Ambulance from Feb. 1964 until Nov. 1995. He graduated from the first Paramedic Class in Stanislaus County. Roy touched many lives in his time on this earth.

Roy is survived by his sons; Terry Hirschkorn of Denair, Troy (Marie) Hirschkorn of Denair; daughter Roene “Sis” (Anthony) Morris of Delhi; three grandchildren; Casey Morris, Ryan and Emma Hirschkorn; one brother; Lowell (Dorothy) Hirschkorn; three sisters; Awana (Don) Johnson, Ewan Trees and Ellawyn (David) Smith; Aunt Dorothy (Glenn) Gruenwald of Nevada.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am Jan. 9, 2015 at the Turlock Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2400 N. Olive Ave, Turlock CA. In lieu of flowers please donate in Roy’s name to Westside Ministries 950 Columbia Avenue Turlock, CA 95380. Please share your memories at www.allenmortuary.com.
