Ruth Louise Hamstad, 95, of Turlock, went to her Heavenly home on June 20, 2016 at Covenant Village in Turlock.  Ruth was married to Norman Hamstad on February 1, 1941 in Turlock who preceded her in death in 2006.

Ruth was a lover of God and people, always ready to give a big hug to all her children, as well as anyone who would receive one.  She lived in Africa with her parents when she was a young girl, as they were missionaries for many years so she had wonderful stories to share of her adventures.  Later returning to Turlock to live with her grandmother and marrying her husband Norman.  They settled in the Bay Area to raise their sons.  Moving later to Mount Herman in their retirement years where Ruth became the head-hostess in the dining room, then later moving to Salem, Oregon for a few years; missing Turlock they returned in 1992.

Ruth is survived by her children Ronald, Steve and their wives Christine and Pitchayanee; four grandchildren Paul, Eric, Matthew and Rachel; and two great grandchildren Helena and Ethan; two brothers Paul and James.

Ruth will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.  We hold dear to our hearts her loving kindness that knew no boundaries toward everyone she knew.
