Age 75 of Turlock passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at her residence under the care of Gentiva Hospice. Sammye was born in Los Angeles, California to Samuel and Delcia McCoy. The family later moved to the Central Valley settling in Madera where Sammye graduated from Madera Union High School with the Class of 1959.
