Shirley Wills, 84, of Modesto, passed away on Feb. 5 at home. She was born in Forest City, N.C. and settled in Modesto area in the 1960s. She was a member of the Modesto Garden Club and Lutheran Church. Shirley enjoyed gardening, traveling, nature, camping and boating.

She is survived by her children, George Lopez of Salida, James Lopez of Modesto and Kathryn Halmos of Klamath Falls, Ore.; brother, Robert Miller of Garnet, Kansas; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 26 at New Hogan Lake, Observation Point.
