Steven “Stosh” John Marsh of Reedley died in a tragic car accident on March 2 at the age of 53.

Steve was a devoted husband, father, son and friend.  He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children,  Gideon and Annabel; his mother, Lois Marsh; his brother, Andy (Jennifer)Marsh; his sister, Amy (Terry) Means; his niece, Madison Marsh and nephew, Matthew Marsh and many more relatives in his extended Marsh, Verduin and Firestine families. He was preceded in death by his grandparent;, his father, John Marsh;, his aunts Marion Marsh and Louise Richards; and his uncle, Calvin Verduin.

After graduating from Turlock High School,  Steve  attended Humboldt State University where he earned a BA in Anthropology. After college he hiked the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. He worked for the USDA Forest Service as an Archaeologist for the Stanislaus National Forest, and as the District Archaeologist for the High Sierra Ranger District. He was a published illustrator and was notorious for his comical cartoons and newsletters. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, positive outlook, and all around kindhearted nature. 

A Celebration of Life memorial is scheduled for 11 a.m. on  April 14 at the Reedley Community Center at 100 N.
