Thomas Joseph Schomburg, 58, of Turlock, was born in Lebanon, Penn. to Thomas John and Theresa Katherine Schomburg. After graduation from high school, Thomas enlisted in the Air Force and served in Vietnam. He was a decorated veteran from his military career. His numerous awards included the National Defense Award, Combat Service Award and the Vietnam Campaign Award. While some veterans have given their lives for our country, Thomas sacrificed his health in service to our nation. He had continuing health problems since his days of service to our country. The family moved to California in 1999, and has lived in Turlock since that time.
Thomas Joseph Schomburg is survived by his parents, Thomas John and Theresa Schomburg; and brothers, Joseph Anthony Schomburg of Turlock and James Michael Schomburg of Winterhaven, Fla.
