Virginia Parker, of Turlock, passed into God’s loving arms on January 26, 2014 in Hughson, CA. She was born in Cass homestead, Oklahoma to Snowden and Bertha Robinson on May 8, 1924. She was a lifelong resident of central California. She retired from Memorial Hospital in Modesto after working there for 25 years. She was a member of the Turlock Free Will Baptist church and enjoyed meeting weekly at the church to create hand sewn quilts. Together with the other ladies in the group, they made some of the best quilts in the area.  She also enjoyed canning, gardening, and spending time with family, preparing Sunday family meals. 
She is survived by her 5 children; Dorthy McNeil, Robert L. Parker, Christine Nichols, Michael Parker, all of California and Vanessa Miller of Washington state, 4 sisters and 1 brother, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be administered  by Pastor Don Ellerd on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 11:30 AM at the Winton District Cemetery.
