Christmas feast feeds 650, thanks to volunteers

Turlock Together and the Salvation Army Turlock wish to thank the many donors and volunteers whose contributions made this year’s 16th annual Christmas dinner for the lonely and less fortunate in the community a stirring success.

An estimated 650 children and adults feasted on free traditional Christmas turkey dinners prepared and served by a small legion of volunteers in the warmth of the Salvation Army’s gymnasium converted for Christmas day into a fine-dining style restaurant with linen tablecloths and personal seated service.

While it is virtually impossible to name all of the donors and volunteers due to their vast number, the list includes Boy Scout Troop 21, local churches, service clubs, schools, the City of Turlock and various businesses and commercial enterprises.

Thank you all for your kindness and generosity.
