The men's golf team's postseason run concluded on Wednesday as the Warriors finished tied for 14th, missing the cut to play in the medal/match rounds at the NCAA Championships at the Reunion Resort in Central Florida.

Stanislaus State shot a 26-over par in round three on the day full of high scores to finish 55-over, 895, for the three-round event during the stroke play portion of the tournament. The top eight teams advance to the quarterfinal round of medal/match play beginning on Thursday. Barry, which had an 18-over in the final round, ended up atop of the standings with a 10-over 850 tally. The top five teams in the standings are all Florida institutions.

Joining Barry, Florida Southern, West Florida, Lynn and Florida Tech in the top 8 are Newberry College, Ferris State and Arkansa Tech. California Baptist (+43), Cal State Monterey Bay (+43), Cal State East Bay (+46) and Western Washington (+57) represented the West Region. Chico State's Kelley Sullivan played as an individual and finished 7-over for 23rd.

Chandler Blanchet, the top ranked player in Division II from West Florida, is the individual champion as the only player in the field of 108 to shoot an under-par total. Blanchet finished 1-under 209 for the tournament.

The Warriors were led by Jordan Koelewyn, whose one-over 71 was one of the low scores on Wednesday. He finished at 10-over 220 to tie for 32nd overall. Koelewyn played mostly even golf on the day when players struggled. He bogeyed the No. 4 and 15 before getting a stroke back with a birdie on 16th. Ash Patel, who started out strong on Monday with a 69 and shot a 72 on Tuesday, had a rough final day with a 12-over 82. He finished 13-over for the tournament.

John Burke, too, ended up with a 13-over for the event. Despite a 5-over par round three score, he actually moved up 10 positions in the leaderboard from Tuesday's totals. Jahaan Nargussi (+20, 230) and Chad Kubes (+31, 241) were the other two Stan State scorers.

The Warriors were making its first National Championship tournament appearance since 2013. Under the current format, Stan State played in the medal/match rounds in 2012 and advanced to the semifinals.

Stanislaus State had made a strong run in the postseason, capturing the program's third CCAA title in four years on April 26 before finished second at the NCAA West Regionals to qualify for the NCAA Championship event.
