The California Collegiate Athletic Association has gained a reputation over the years as being one of the country's best Division II conferences for men's golf. On the eve of the 2010-11 season, that status is once again on display.A total of four CCAA teams will begin the year with national Top 25 rankings of the Golf World/Nike Golf Coaches Poll, including three in the Top 10. Cal State Stanislaus made a statement after being ranked 10th.Chico State, which placed third at the 2010 NCAA Division II National Championships in Noblesville, Ind. last season is ranked No. 4, while Sonoma State is No. 8 and Cal State Monterey Bay No. 13.All four teams advanced to the national championships a year ago. Sonoma State placed fourth, while Cal State Monterey Bay finished 11th and Cal State Stanislaus concluded play in 13th place.The Warriors return every player from the 2009-10 team that played in the national tournament including All-Americans Brandon Taylor (third team) and Trevor Blair (honorable mention). J.T. Cockerill returns for his senior season, along with junior Teddy Schrier and sophomore Joseph Stewart.Cal State Stanislaus begins the 2010-11 season at the Western Washington Invitational in Bellingham, Wash. on Sept. 27.
