Turlock City Council Member Amy Bublak announced at the close of Tuesday night’s meeting that California State University, Stanislaus will host the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championship in April or May of 2011 and 2012. Events will be held at Warrior Stadium, which is part of the $16.1 million Student Recreation Complex that made its official debut in August of last year.
The track championship is expected to bring in about $500,000 for the City of Turlock and top competitors from schools across the nation.
