What’s Blayne Siebert’s favorite part about competing in track and field?

“It’s cool knowing that you're just faster than everyone.”

That was the Pitman High School senior’s answer to the question posed to him following his signing ceremony to UC Davis nearly three months ago.

On Friday, Siebert once again showcased his dominance, grabbing first place in the 100 and 200-meter dashes at the County Clash at Oakdale High School. He was also a contributor to the Pride’s 4x100 relay team that finished atop the men’s division with a time of 43.04 seconds.

In the 200-meter dash, Siebert finished in 21.81 seconds. And in the 100-meter run, he logged a time of 10.75, which was his previous personal (and school) best. He holds the new school record of 10.72 seconds, which he achieved at last year’s Sac-Joaquin Section Masters trials.
