Turlock tennis improves to 4-0 in CCC
Turlock's varsity boys tennis team is off to a 4-0 start in the Central California Conference after sweeping through Golden Valley and Buhach Colony, all 18 matches ending in straight sets.
“It was a little windy, still we won in straight sets,” said Turlock head coach Jack Schneider.
In Tuesday's win over GV, Turlock won four matches via forfeit after GV was competing with only seven players.
With a new No. 1 in Davis Griffin, and Alex Lima back at the No. 2 singles, the Bulldogs were set for a strong outing and they came out and frustrated BC in their Thursday match, toppling them with a 9-0 sweep.
“It was an easy victory. Davis is now our No. 1 as he beat Alex in a challenge match the other day. We have to play Pitman still so we will see what happens then,” said Schneider.
