The Wednesday Night Blitz is coming
WNB JPG

The wait is over. After five exciting weeks of pre-league prep football play, Turlock and Pitman High are ready for the beginning of Central California Conference competition. Both teams enter the CCC with a 4-1 record and the potential to vie for a league championship.

While league play is what truly counts in the world of prep football, the first half of the season is where a team’s character is developed and its identity is formed. The Journal was there in those early stages, covering the growth of the Pride and Bulldogs, and we want to share what we saw with you.

So join the Journal this Wednesday for the inaugural episode of the Wednesday Night Blitz—a weekly video segment with recaps from previous games and previews of upcoming matchups. Those tuning in for WNB’s first episode are in for a treat as we’ve compiled highlights from Turlock’s games against Oakdale High and Modesto High and Pitman’s games against Enochs High, Lincoln High, and Modesto High.

But Turlock and Pitman aren’t the only teams we cover—we’ll also have highlights from Hilmar High, Delhi High, and Denair High.

That’s right, that’s three leagues—CCC, TVL, SL—in one episode.

Tune in this Wednesday, and every Wednesday after, at 7 p.m. online at Turlockjournal.com to watch touchdown runs, quarterback sacks, interceptions, and more.
