The Turlock High varsity boys golf team keeps on winning and Monday's Central California Conference Mid-Season Tournament from Pheasant Run was another victory for the Bulldogs.

Turlock and Pitman both came in undefeated in CCC matches at 3-0 and had high hopes of another successful result.

Pitman managed to finish in third place with a team score of 468, while Turlock notched a victory with a score of 405. El Capitan followed in second with a 467.

“We did not perform our best today. We left a lot of shots out on the course,” said Pitman head coach Matt Jeans.

Turlock had five guys shoot under 83 and three with a score of 80.

“We are playing really well and have a lot of season and work to do,” said Turlock head coach Jason Boswell.

Preston Magina, Connor Old and Dylan Cummings shot an 80, which was good for the second lowest round of the day.

“We ended up winning by 62 strokes,” said Boswell. “We now have Merced, Buhach, Pitman and the CCC Championship left.”

For Turlock, Logan Lucero shot an 83 and Arik Bains finished with a score of 82.

For Pitman, the lowest score came from Nate Coutinho, who shot an 82. Chandler Hedrick followed with an 87.

“We will head back to the range and regroup for the second half of league,” Jeans added.

Pitman and Turlock's next match will be at the Atwater Invitational at a time yet to be determined on Monday.
