Pride off to 4-0 league start; matchup set with Turlock for top placing in CCC

Pitman is off to a 4-0 start in the Central California Conference after topping Buhach Colony on the road on Wednesday, 62-38.

 

The win marks the sixth straight CCC contest victory for Pitman, dating back to last season after the team finished with a two-game win streak.

 

Jando Diaz led all scorers with 22 points and the Pride turned the ball over 13 times for the game.

 

Although the Pride were charged with 18 fouls, they still dominated the game from the start after taking a 19-2 lead after the first quarter.

 

Both sides scored 15 apiece in the second, but Pitman kept the momentum steady heading into the final quarter where they held BC to seven points to close out the game for a third blowout league game of the year.

 

Dom Von Waader was second with 12 points and had seven rebounds, two assists and four steals. Diaz finished with a rebound, three assists, a pair of steals and also hit a few three's. Micah Millentree added eight points, six rebounds and two assists.

 

Leon Ohms had five rebounds, an assist and a steal before fouling out for the game. Gurman Takhar finished with three steals, two rebounds and an assist.

 

Pitman will take on Turlock at the Bulldogs gym at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
